Newsgroups are discussion groups. They are similar to chats and messages boards only they are done via e-mail to a group of people. Newsgroups cover almost every subject imaginable, and therefore, appeal to a wide variety of people. In fact, outlook express, mozilla and netscape all include newsgroup clients.
