Insufficient access to directory for the installer !!!!!?
while installing few softwares the setup stuck up and displayed the error 1303 the installer has insufficient access priviledges to < directory> log on as administrator.. but m already logged on as one.. plz provide solution for this m using windows 7

I haven't uploaded my site to the web yet, so I don't know what consequences I will have when I do.What I've been writing, is C folder folder code.php I've been told that C FILE 'code.php is the best way, but I have no idea what that means.This is the first site I've made, so I don't know everything there is to know, and this seems trivial to me as I thought all of my paths would have to be changed to whatever my webhost says they are. Is this not true? What am I doing wrong, and what is the best way to write it?Thanks.
Question about Linux file directory system?
Ok, I'm kind of new to Linux. So I just started to understand how the file directories work such as home bin and so on. However, I don't understand dev. As far as I can understand it shows the computer's hardware such as hard drives, speakers, etc. So if hda1 is my main hard drive then how come if I click on it I don't go straight to the directory. Instead I see different files my computer previously had windows installed on it . So shouldn't be the same as dev hda1 if the is actually stored on the primary hard drive? In other words, where is the system directory itself stored on? I know this question isn't worded very well but I hope you can help.

most hosts give you a public html or htdocs folder for your main folder to upload pages to for the site. Godaddy although only starts you off with a CGI folder... when i upload here, it does nothing for my site. Where would I upload a layout in my websites directory?
I have a layout that I made and it is ready to be uploaded to the directory of my website but I just don't know where to put it in the file manager I am using FatCow.com I used Website Creator by CM4All it was offered free when I bought my domain and I picked a layout from there...it is nice looking but still amateur looking. Anyway I just need to know where to upload this layout.Maybe I am messing up after I upload it because I have uploaded it to the main and it doesn't show upno you can email me on here though right? I am very computer savvy so I am sure if you explained it I could understand itlol thats okay...yes I asked support a while ago but they said I need to upload it with an FTP client...I downloaded what they recommended which is called Filezilla...it works great but when I upload the file to main it doesn't show when I view my websiteI have already asked support and went through all of the tutorials
