I'm not too computer savvy and hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to find the best and possibly cheapest internet access. I live in the country and some of the major companies don't provide internet where I live. Some of the wireless internet is pricey and I don't want dial up. I'm wondering about an internet phone or a lap top or pc. Which would you recommend? I mostly email but I like to watch videos and look at pictures and play games online so I'm leaning towards something faster. Any suggestions?

Windows Server 2003 NAT no internet access?
I have Windows Server 2003 installed as a Virtual machine using VirtualBox . It is configured as Active Directory DNS Server Mail Server SMTP & POP3 NTP Server FTP Server Web ServerI am try to configure the server to act as a NAT router. I have it working. However, only computers that are part of the server's domain are able to access the internet these computers run XP Professional whereas the other computers XP Home cannot XP Home computers can ping other computers on the network just not the internet .I have configured the TCP IP settings exactly the same as the XP Pro computers but it won't work i'm putting it down to them not being in the same domain .I have a Linux box acting as a DHCP server which assigns the computers their IP addresses, default gateways and DNS servers works 100% .Anyone got any ideas as to how i can get this to work?thanksThe Windows XP Pro computers are virtual test PCs also installed on VirtualBox . These are able to connect to the internet when removed from the domain and join the same workgroup as the XP Home PCs

I am using Cisco 2960 layer 2 switch and i have created 5 separated Vlans. All what i want is to share internet connection to all vlan members. How can i do that? Is router on a stick 802.1Q the solution? I know i can do that using layer 3 switch but i can not afford one.So what are the possible ways to do that by keeping my layer 2 switch?
Internet access limited to only one service provider - Anyway to change this?
In my area, which is not very rural, but it's nowhere near the city, Comcast is the only internet service provider in our area, and they charge an ungodly amount of money for internet access About 70$ a month , I looked up other internet service providers, but it seems there's NO ONE else who offers internet in my area. Is there any way to get a different kind of service provider or something in my area? Or a way to make comcast lower their prices haha .
