Internet Access

Question: How can i lock and eventually open an internet access of other (online) pc through the internet?

I have four offices that needs to be online for file transfer and I also need the employees not to access the internet for them to focus on their job. I need the internet connection to copy files from these pc everyday. Thanks in advance.

Have the firewall block outgoing TCP port 80 (web browsing), 443 (encrypted web browsing), 531 (IM client) 1863 (IM client), 5050 (IM client) 5190 (IM client), 5222 (IM Client), 8080 (proxy) 9119 (IM client) This method prevent people from being able to surf online as well as using a variety of IM clinet.

You need a web filter then. If the employees need to be online then the web filter will allow you to block sites. Yes you can do that in Internet Options on your pc too but a web filter is far more advanced We use Barracuda at my office Blocking ports will also do the job as mentioned prior to my post
