Internet Access

Question: Is there a card/device, for my laptop, that would give me internet access anywhere?

Will be traveling alot. i do not want to have to go to coffee shops or mcdonalds to get internet access. is there a card/ device/ service, that will alow me access pretty much anywhere?

You could get internet access from a cell phone network, but it will cost $40 a month and up.
