How do you prevent others from using your internet access on a Netgear WGR614 Router?
I live in a college town and I presume a bunch of kids are using my Wifi connection and making my internet very slow. How can I prevent them from using it?

The UK Government are proposing to cut internet access to repeat file sharers and illegal down loaders of music, films, and games news.bbc.co.uk 1 hi business 7240234.stm yet there seems to be no enthusiasm to do the same to sickos who go online to see depraved acts of children.Surely that is more a reason to cut off someones internet access and damn the service providers for this filth than downloading and swapping music and films? After all many of these blockbusters end up as cheap complilations down at your local store...Opinions?

I recently heard that if you use Limewire or Frostwire, or any one of those services that you will receive notification from the government? and then your internet access will be either slowed down or turned off completely. Is this true? Has this a. been passed or b. soon to be passed. I know it's not all rumor that this was at least in the cards because I read about it in a yahoo article early last week.

Can a hacker block your internet access?
a hacker got my Ip adress and now i can't get online using my own connection. i know for a fact that a hacker did it because he told me he was going to. does anyone have any idea how he could have done this and how to fix it?everything on my modem shows signs of being connected, but i still can't access the internet. tried release renewing my IP, unplugging the modem for 10 minutes and plugging it back in, and basically all the standard methods of fixing an internet connection so don't give me generic suggestions. this is a special case as i've been hacked.

What is with these emails coming in, followed by the mail with the attachment from people I have never heard of. Content Yahoo Xtra Mail Virus Protection detected the virus 'Trojan.Goldun' in the file 'user EA49943X activities.zip', attached to the enclosed email message. We scanned the file using Norton AntiVirus but were unable to clean it. Therefore, we removed the content of the attachment from the message. Please contact the message sender if you want to receive the attachment. They must clean the file and resend it before we can deliver it to you safely.Dont know the sender, didnt get any attachment
