Unfortunately no. I'm sad about this same problem because i love both products. Google has yet to catch up on it's products because their 2 best products (toolbar and web accelerator) both don't work with firefox 3. But firefox 3 is much faster than firefox 2. Firefox 3 is much faster than firefox 2 even with the web accelerator, so you should just go ahead and update.

It does, but be cautious. Google Web Accelerator is trying to GUESS where you go next. Its CONSTANTLY downloading files. This is using up bandwidth that you might be needing for something else. While it does work, it may slow you down. Try running wireshark with it running. You will be surprised how much traffic it generates!

You'll need to manually configure your proxy settings to 127.0.0.1:9100 for HTTP connections

In response to Tim W, that only happens if you have the prefetching on. Right click on the task bar icon near the clock and hit preferences. It should still open up in Firefox since it's still considered a website. Unclick the prefetching option. Also, for the proxy, you can just put localhost:9100/ proxy.pac in the "Automatic Proxy Configuration URL " option. The other answer, with the fully numeral proxy works as well, so props to that poster.
