Firstly, yes it works fine with Windows Vista and it is compatible with Firefox too. Secondly, there are no major bad effects. What it does is when you are viewing a webpage, it clicks on all of the links in the background and saves the pages too. Then when you click a link, rather than asking the website, it loads it up from it's memory because it's already downloaded the pages while you were on the current page. If you own your own website, it could distort your traffic statistics and some sites have banned the use of it, asking for you to disable it on their site. However, on the whole, it can save a lot of time and it very useful. I would recommend you download it :) |
