It claims to have saved me 15 hours of my time but whether or not this is true is another matter. However, it does noticeably speed loading up sometimes but at the same time (if you have page prefetching enabled were it loads pages you're likely (accoring to itself) to click on) it will use up more of your bandwidth. It definitely works with FF 2 (which I'm using it with) however I'm not sure whether it works fully with FF 3 discused here: groups.google.com/ group/ Google-Web-Accelerator/ browse_thread/ thread/ ef5f93ed2a37877c/ f5317c6d952bd4c9?pli= 1 (google does not state either way whether it should: it merely says Google Accelerator is compatible with FF 1+ ) Only problem I've encounted is that my orange web-mail does not work with GWA (probably because it is such a poorly built site) but you can luckily get GWA to not accelerate certain pages which is useful. Other than that I have had no problems at all. Personally, I recommend that you give it a try as if it saves you even half as much time as it claims to have saved me, it is certainly worth it! |
